The Opportunity 

We are seeking a seasoned Electronic Security Designer/Programmer professional with experience in Genetec video surveillance and access control systems. This role is also responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, quotes and other documentation to prepare all-inclusive quality and accurate design and bid submission.

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong design and programming background in electrical security systems who wants to join a dedicated, fast-moving team and who is thorough, precise, and is a true team player.

Key Responsibilities

• Genetec – Design, configure, install and troubleshoot Genetec systems in complex, high-security environments.


• Design – Complete designs including overall layout, one line, and detail drawings. Material and vendor lists.


• Sales/Customer Relations – Handle new and existing customers for new and existing projects and stay in touch with existing customers with new information including service calls and new project coordination.


• Estimating – Estimate and/or consult on all AV and Security projects and help coordinate and review 3rd party system quotes.


• Material Procurement – Place orders for all AV and Security specific materials excluding category cabling for all projects. Develop a list of vendors with contact information and ordering email addresses.


• Continuous Improvement - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement and to deliver best-in-class physical security solutions. 

Who We’re Looking For

• An acceptable combination of education and work experience, validating estimating and design skill level.

• Experience with Genetec security platform to manage and monitor security environments.


• Experience in understanding project “blueprints”, design drawings, specification, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost, equipment/labor, and material estimates for projects and services.


• Proficient in Accubid Estimating Software (or similar) preferred.


• Knowledge of general construction practices preferred.


• Local to York, PA Corporate Office (desirable) but with regular travel to other offices, customer facilities, jobsites and yard locations for trainings and offsite meetings (flexibility to work from home when appropriate).
