CED strives to pay a competitive wage in the industry and regional market. The pay range for this position is $23.50/hr to $28.75/hr. CED's benefits offering includes eligibility to participate in 1 of 3 different BCBS of IL medical plans, Dental (SunLife) Vision (EyeMed), Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k) with a generous 6% match on a 6% contribution, 11 Paid Holidays, 5 paid Sick Days (based on a full year of employment), and paid vacation.

Electronic Technician 

As an Electronic Technician you are responsible for the testing of electronic components and products to the established schedules; ensuring accurate, effective and efficient performance to the established program schedules. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish work priorities to ensure effective utilization of time and resources.
• Ability to read and understand acceptance test procedures to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Ability to assess test equipment & utilize proper process proofing methods, control, and set-up.
• Hands-on ability in operating functional test equipment, environmental chambers, and vibration equipment.
• Familiarity with operating analog and digital equipment, microprocessors, oscilloscopes, and mechanical tools (i.e., calipers, wrenches, and pliers.) 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS) 

Experience and industry knowledge working in an Aerospace environment supporting electronic products

Detail-oriented and organized

excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be eligible to possess explosive under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices. 

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves sitting much of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Use of computer.
