Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman is currently seeking an Electronic Technician 2 or 3 - for our Roy, UT location supporting the Sentinel Program.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\n\u2022 Support CSIL Lab Operations laboratory test plans. This includes but is not limited to; installation/removal of hardware and line replaceable units (LRU), building to drawings, executing work orders, manufacturing lab cables and harnesses, troubleshooting, document and report defects as required, etc.\n\n\u2022 Work with Management, Lab Operations, and Designers to ensure the lab is built and maintained to the correct specifications needed for formal test and daily lab operations.\n\n\u2022 Work with lab management to ensure the CSIL laboratory is compliant with all security, safety, SDS, and other program directives.\n\n\u2022 Comply with all corporate and laboratory safety and security policies.\n\n\u2022 Travel, as required, in support of Sentinel requirement verification.\n\n\u2022 Construct simple test fixtures and perform minor repairs or modifications to test fixtures such as drilling and tapping holes, and wiring and soldering components and component parts as directed by engineer or higher classified personnel.\n\n\u2022 Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.\n\n\u2022 Troubleshoot and maintain electronic systems including repair and setup of video, audio, process controllers, test equipment, and data acquisition systems.\n\n\u2022 Read and understand electrical schematics as well as use a variety of electronic troubleshooting equipment.\n\n\u2022 Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions. Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation.\n\n\u2022 Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware.\n\n\u2022 Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection.\n\n\u2022 Performs technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental.\n\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems. Guidance is readily available from superiors. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks. Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications. Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level. Conducts defined engineering tests and collects data as assigned. Utilizes routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, VOM, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus. Normally assigned in area such as development, engineering, test equipment design, or the like. Excludes those assigned to production test activities. Entry Level. Excludes trainees with no academic preparation or experience. EXPERIENCE and TRAINING: Electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school. This is dual level and can be filled at a level 2 or level 3.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Electronic Technician 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience\n\n\u2022 Electronic Technician 3: High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience\n\nRequired for Both Levels:\n\n\u2022 Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need\n\n\u2022 Must have knowledge of electronic principles, the ability to wire and assemble circuits and understand the operation of basic test equipment\n\n\u2022 Prepare and maintain necessary reports and records as required\n\n\u2022 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally\n\n\u2022 Ability to work in a standing position for extended time periods\n\n\u2022 Ability to multi-task\n\n\u2022 Must be able to work overtime\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 An active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope\n\n\u2022 Previously approved for Special Access Program (SAP)\n\n\u2022 J-STD-001 Certified\n\n\u2022 IPC-610 Certified\n\n\u2022 WHMA-620 Certified\n\n\u2022 Experience in fabricating test cables\n\n\u2022 Previous experience working closely with Test and Manufacturing engineers\n\n\u2022 Previous experience working with inventory control and data base systems\n\n\u2022 Experience in lab and/or test equipment design, integration, and build-up\n\n\u2022 Harness design experience using Siemens Capital or similar ECAD program\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
