Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Electronics Engineer / Principal Electronics Engineer (Comms Responsible Engineer) to join our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\n * Research, design, development, integration, and test of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including RF datalinks, SATCOM and Communications Networks.\n * Maintaining complex RF communications architectures, systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers.\n * Reporting comms status to Program Managers and IPT Management.\n * Primary Responsible Engineer for complex communications subsystem, supplier technical interface, and focal IPT representative for integration support.\n\n\n\nYou will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. Once in the role, the position could potentially offer a hybrid work environment. Scheduled telework days are approved at manager\u0027s discretion. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.\n\n*This position can be filled at either the Electronics Engineer (Level 2) OR Principal Electronics Engineer (Level 3)*\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Electronics Engineer: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline.\n * Active in-scope, DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance once in position.\n * Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).\n * Principal Electronics Engineer: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of related engineering experience.\n * Active in-scope, DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance once in position.\n * Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications Both Levels:\n\n * Active in-scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.\n * Strong understanding of networking strategies including TCP/IP \u0026 WAN architectures.\n * Familiar with current network products and technologies such as routers, firewalls, and switches\n * RF and digital system design \u0026 analysis.\n * Antenna theory and operation.\n * COMMS Wideband and Narrowband integration and testing. Iridium, INMARSAT, Ku, CDL and Starlink.\n * Airborne platform radio integration such ARCs.\n * System Performance Verification and Component Qualifications for Flight.\n * System Engineering, Requirements Derivation.\n * Design documentation: E.g. Visio, Catia, interconnects and rack elevations.\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
