Elementary Daily Substitute(NE)(2026-2027)-School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Baltimore MD

School of the Incarnation, located in Odenton, Maryland, is seeking an Elementary Daily Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Daily Substitute Teacher is responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students in the event of a teacher's or instructional assistant's absence. The substitute will follow lesson plans and curriculum materials provided by the principal or absent teacher, maintain a positive and productive learning environment, oversee student attendance, and assign and collect homework as directed. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to effectively manage a classroom while supporting the school's mission and educational goals.

Essential Functions

• Participate in the active supervision of students at all times.


• Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher.


• Follow daily routine of teacher or IA and fill in for duties outside the classroom such as morning drop-off or pick-up as needed.


• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff and administration.


• Maintain high professional and personal standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.


• Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.

Position Qualifications

• Degree in Elementary Education preferred.


• Current MSDE certification preferred.


• Knowledge of child development and supervision preferred.


• Experience teaching in an elementary Catholic school setting is preferred.


• CPR/First Aid certified preferred.


• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education.

Pay Rate:  $20.00, Hourly
