Elementary Jewish School Teacher

360 Talent Avenue is seeking an Upper Elementary General Studies Teacher for our client, a vibrant and nurturing Jewish Day School dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that combines rigorous general studies with a deep appreciation for Jewish heritage, values, and traditions.   

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and personal growth.
• Teach core subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies, using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Incorporate Jewish values and traditions into general studies instruction where appropriate.
• Assess and monitor student progress through observations, tests, and assignments, providing timely feedback and support.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
• Uphold school policies, procedures, and high standards of professional behavior.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification.
• At least two years of private school teaching experience in an elementary school setting or a Jewish Day School in any grade from 2nd-5th.
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and best teaching practices.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment to support diverse student populations and adapt instruction to address a range of learning needs.
• Knowledge of Jewish customs, traditions, and values is preferred but not required.
