Elementary Special Education Teacher – Resource Room | Illinois

Full-Time | Grades 3–5 | Full School Year

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and student-focused Special Education Teacher for an elementary school district in Illinois. This full-time, school-based assignment will support students in grades 3–5 through resource room services, small-group instruction, and individualized academic interventions. Interviews are being arranged ahead of the district’s hiring process.

This position is well suited for an educator who enjoys helping students strengthen academic skills, work toward IEP objectives, and participate more successfully in the general education curriculum. You will provide one-on-one and small-group instruction tailored to students’ learning needs, adapting lessons, assignments, and instructional resources to support a range of academic abilities.

Additional responsibilities include reviewing student performance and progress data, adjusting instructional strategies as needed, and maintaining accurate educational records. You will also contribute to IEP development and implementation by participating in meetings, supporting goal-setting, and communicating student progress with the appropriate team members. Ongoing collaboration with general education teachers, related-service providers, school administrators, and families will help ensure students receive consistent, coordinated support.

Requirements

Previous school-based special education experience strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and student support professionals.

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement.
