Elementary School Teacher/Music Vocal

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher to join our educational team. This position involves vocal music instruction plus middle school choir. 

Currently this position is 4 days per week and includes a regular class schedule with preschool through 4th grade classes and 2 practices per week with the middle school choir students. The choir sings at weekly all school Masses and other parish events as scheduled. The schedule is open to changes. 

The music teacher also prepares students for the annual Christmas concert.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in education, music education or a related field preferred.

- Valid teaching license for elementary education or music education preferred.

- Strong knowledge elementary music curriculum

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Passion for teaching and commitment to student success

- Practicing Catholic with knowledge of the Mass liturgy and relative hymn selection preferred. 

-Ability to play the piano is a definite plus

Salary: 

$35,000 minimum, based on full time employment, depending on credentials, education and experience
