Elementary Teacher

Description

We are seeking a passionate educational professional to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering instruction while leading children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This position also requires a person to abide by the IRCS Code of Ethics and possess strong Christian values.

Responsibilities

• Lesson planning and preparation
• Deliver quality instruction in all subject areas while incorporating a biblical worldview.
• Employ differentiated instructional techniques 
• Analyze data and determine the best use of data to drive instruction
• Assign and grade homework
• Integrate technology into instruction
• Manage student behavior from a biblical standpoint
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, parent conferences, and grade books
• Attend and participate in professional development opportunities
• Plan field trips and on-campus activities through approved channels

Requirements

• Must give testimony of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be able to substantiate that testimony by evidence of a daily Christian lifestyle
• Must be a spiritually mature, growing Christian who is active in their Christian life and be an active member of Indian Rocks Baptist Church
• Ability to effectively communicate Indian Rocks Christian School's mission, vision, and values to students, faculty, staff, and the broader community.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well on a team
• Passion for lifelong learning and continuous improvement
• ACSI teaching certification or ability to obtain certification
