Elementary Teacher Assistant

The Teacher’s Assistant supports the classroom teacher in delivering a high-quality, Christ-centered educational experience. This role includes assisting with instructional activities, classroom management, and student supervision to ensure a safe and engaging learning environment. The Teacher’s Assistant works closely with the lead teacher to support student learning, provide individualized attention as needed, and help with classroom organization and daily routines.

• Support the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Help manage student behavior and maintain a positive, respectful classroom culture.
• Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom supplies.
• Supervise students in various settings, including the classroom, lunchroom, recess, and during transitions.
• Monitor and support students' academic and social development.
• Assist with grading, attendance, and other clerical tasks as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and procedures.
• Model Christian character and values in word and deed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or some college coursework in education preferred.
• Prior experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a heart for serving students and supporting teachers.
• A commitment to the mission and values of a Christian school community.
