Elementary/Middle School Food & Cleaning Service Aide Opportunity (K-8th) - 2025/26 School Year

Paul Robeson Charter School (PRCS) is a free, lottery-based, open-enrollment charter school serving students from across Trenton in grades K-1 and 3-8. The 2025-26 school year is an exciting year for PRCS because we will start serving students in 2nd grade and become a full K-8 school!

Opportunity

PRCS is seeking passionate and hardworking Food & Cleaning Service Aide to join the PRCS family for the 2025-26 School Year. The person will be apart of the Support Services team and assist with Elementary and Middle School students. The hourly rate for this role is $22. 

Responsibilities

• Receive food shipments and deliveries;


• Prepare and heat up meals for students;


• Serve meals to students at breakfast and lunch time;


• Support with general housekeeping tasks in the cleaning and maintenance of offices, classrooms, cafeteria's as directed


• Support the Operations team with light clerical work for school wide events and initiatives;
  


• Maintain a safe and orderly space; 


• Assist with removing displays and decorations, if applicable;


• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to lift 40 lbs.


• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor


• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.


• Knowledge of standard health standards and regulations as they apply to food preparation and service.

Education and Workplace Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
