Elevator Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Elevator Maintenance Technician
Location: Cresson, PA (Allegheny Portage Railroad NHS) and St. Micheal, PA (Johnstown Flood National Memorial)
Type of Job: Full-time 
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Evening, Weekend, and Federal Holiday shifts as needed

Duties:

• Perform monthly maintenance, annual inspections, and service calls on two hydraulic elevators located at the Allegheny Portage Railroad NHS and Johnstown Flood National Memorial.
• Conduct inspections and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications, national and state codes, and park regulations.
• Respond promptly to service calls, diagnose issues, and implement necessary repairs to ensure elevator functionality and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Coordinate with park personnel and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for scheduling and reporting purposes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure public and employee safety during maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Pennsylvania mechanic license or equivalent certification.
• Experience in elevator maintenance, repair, and inspection preferred.
• Knowledge of National Elevator Code, National Electric Code, and other relevant safety standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose elevator malfunctions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with park personnel and contractors.
• Attention to detail and adherence to maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
• Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
