Emergency Department Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Emergency Department Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for facilitating efficient patient flow through the ED. They will delegate care to the ED care teams and oversee all incoming and outgoing clinical flow. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in an ED or similar acute care setting and possess all necessary certifications.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate flow through the ED by delegating care and overseeing incoming and outgoing clinical flow
Quickly assess and triage patients arriving at the Emergency Department
Participate in hourly rounding for patient safety and experience
Achieve goals for patient flow metrics and patient and family satisfaction
Provide direct nursing care to patients and employ patient teaching to promote health and safety
Participate in unit committees and quality improvement activities
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with Hospital policy and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as an RN in an Emergency Department or similar acute care setting
Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications required
ENPC and TNCC desirable
ASN required, BSN preferred
