Emergency Management Supv

The Emergency Management Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Management Program while supervising the development, implementation, and evaluation of emergency management education and training programs across all disaster-related disciplines, including decontamination, Med Sled operations, and other emergency response functions. The Emergency Management Supervisor will ensure the ongoing training and continuing education of staff with emergency management responsibilities, provide leadership with guidance on operational policies, procedures, and training needs, and identify opportunities for improvement through report reviews and employee feedback to strengthen organizational preparedness and response capabilities.

- Require a minimum of five (5) years of experience in emergency management, healthcare preparedness, disaster response, or a related field, including supervisory or leadership experience, as well as - experience coordinating emergency response activities with internal departments and external agencies, including public safety, emergency medical services, emergency management agencies, and public health partners.
Require the following State of Florida Security Officer Licensure within the designated timeframe: - Class D - Security Officer Licensure within six (6) months of hire/promotion date. - Class G - Armed Security Officer Licensure within six (6) months of hire/promotion date. - FEMA independent study certifications, IS-100, IS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, IS-700, IS-800 - International Board for Certification of Safety Managers, Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) within six (6) months of hire. Note: All licensures and certifications must be maintained active throughout employment.
- Require Instructor certification in a minimum of two (additional certifications preferred) disciplines related to the Public Safety field within six (6) months of hire/promotion date.

- Prefer strong knowledge of healthcare emergency preparedness programs, including evacuation planning, decontamination operations, Med Sled utilization, hazardous materials awareness, and continuity of operations planning.
- Prefer demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and evaluating emergency preparedness training, drills, tabletop exercises, and full-scale exercises.
- Prefer the ability to respond to emergencies outside of normal business hours and participate in the organization's emergency response activities as required.
- Prefer strong communication, presentation, and instructional skills, with experience delivering education to multidisciplinary audiences.
- Prefer the ability to analyze after-action reports, identify performance improvement opportunities, and implement corrective action plans.
- Prefer professional certifications such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM®), Associate Emergency Manager (AEM®), IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO), IAHSS Certified Advanced Healthcare Security Officer (CAHSO), and IAHSS Certified Security Supervisor (CHSS).
- Prefer strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations in a diplomatic manner, and the understanding of group processes and teamwork.
