Job Location: Bay Shore, NY.
Schedule: Staring September 1, 2024- November 1, 2025.
Job Type: Per Diem/ 1099 Contract.
Pay rate/range: $30/hr.

Full Job Description:

VitalCheck Wellness is recruiting an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide immediate medical care (First Aid+) for employees of a private company in Bayshore, NY.
*Experience working at construction sites is preferred*

Responsibilities:

• Maintain all records on employees seeking and given treatment.
• Maintain all safety records to include accident reports.
• Maintaining comfortable, orderly, safe and clean environments.
• Assisting with special projects as assigned.
• Rendering care to injured/ ill workers.
• Determining if first aid is adequate or if transport to a physician, ER, or trauma center is needed. Coordinate transport as needed (911).
• Coordinate return to work of injured workers.
• Participate and/ or lead safety meetings.

Requirements:

• Valid license/ certification.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience providing immediate medical care.
• Must have experience handling work related injuries.
• Case Management Experience.
• Help ensure compliance of medical treatment plan.
• Participate and/ or lead weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly calls and quarterly claims review.
• Inspection of trailer/ office/ site fire extinguishers.
• Complete site walks multiple times per day.
• Conduct monthly medical related toolbox talk.
• Training/ Certs:
  • New York State EMT licensed
  • AED
  • Naloxone Training
  • EMT
  • Hazmat Awareness
  • 4-hour Scaffolding
  • 2-hour Drug & Alcohol
  • OSHA 30
  • HIPPA Compliance
  • Recommended- Site Safety Training Card
• Must be able to commute to Bayshore, NY (onsite).
• Must be able to work in adverse conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs+.
