JOB OVERVIEW

Coverage Period: 09/01/2025 – Ongoing
Clinical Shift Schedule: 6a–6p, 6p–6a (MD); 9a–9p, 12:30p–12:30a (NP/PA)

COVERAGE DATES

September 1, 2025 – Ongoing
Minimum 7 shifts per month
5-shift minimum/month required for nocturnists
3–4 providers needed

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: All ages
Patient Volume/Census: Approx. 82 patients/day
Admissions: Approx. 11.7% admission rate
Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine; 15% EMS volume

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: 20 Main ED beds + 2 PIT beds
EMR System: Meditech
Support Staff Available: NPs, PAs, RNs, scribes
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: Daily with OT after 12 hours; Weekly OT after 168 hours
Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
Paid Orientation/EMR Training: Required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Georgia state medical license required
Board: Board Certified in EM, FM, or IM (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM)
DEA: Active DEA Certification
Certifications: ACLS required (ATLS, PALS, BLS preferred)
Experience: Emergency Department experience required; residency completion required
Other Qualifications: Comfort working both day and night shifts; proficiency with Meditech EMR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency care in a hospital ED setting
Manage approximately 82 patients/day collaboratively with APPs
Perform full scope of emergency procedures
Work 12-hour shifts, including days and/or nights
Participate in onboarding and EMR training as required
