PATIENT INFORMATION:

• Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics (typical ED patients)

• Patient Volume/Census: 8,700 annual visits; approximately 63 patients per day

• Admissions: Yes

• Case Mix: Emergency Medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION:

• No. of Beds in Department: 14 ED beds (including fast track)

• Trauma Level: Level IV

• EMR System: Cerner

• Support Staff Available: No scribes mentioned

• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Rate: TBD

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Licenses: Active TX license

• Certifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible with Emergency Medicine experience (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM accepted), ACLS, ATLS, PALS

• Experience: Emergency Medicine experience required; Residency completion mandatory

• Other Qualifications: ABPS board certification not accepted

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide emergency care to patients daily

• Manage patient flow across 14 ED beds, including fast track beds

• Perform required emergency procedures and interventions

• Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation

• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure comprehensive emergency care
