• Coverage Period: Starting June – 12-month assignment

• Clinical Shift Schedule: 7a–7p, 7p–7a

• Minimum of 3 shifts/month

• Assignment Length: 12 months

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adults

• Patient Volume: 25,000 annually (~70/day)

• Admissions: ~20.6%

• Case Mix: General EM including EMS patients (22.9%)

• Facility Name: Glenwood Regional Medical Center

• Address: 503 McMillan Road, West Monroe, LA 71291

• No. of ED Beds: 36

• EMR System: Cerner with Dragon Speak

• Specialty Backup Available: Yes – Obstetrics, ENT, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Orthopedics, IM, Radiology, Pathology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Pulmonology, Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery

• Support Staff Available: NP/PA coverage 11a–11p

• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days with a clean file

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• General Emergency Medicine procedures

• Must be capable of independently managing a full ED case mix

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Louisiana License or IMLC

• Board: BC/BE in EM/FM/IM with 3+ years EM experience

• Active DEA

• Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care across a broad patient population

• Collaborate with NPs, PAs, and extensive specialty backup teams

• Manage patient flow in a 36-bed Emergency Department

• Document efficiently in Cerner with Dragon Speak

• Deliver safe, timely, and high-quality emergency care
