• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Overtime: Daily OT after 12 hours and weekly OT after 168 hours, differential applied
• Callback Rates: Available per facility policy
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per locum agreement
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Emergency department procedures appropriate for physician -level emergency medicine coverage
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Iowa medical license required
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• DEA: Active DEA required
• Certifications: ACLS required; additional certifications per facility standards
• Experience: Prior emergency department experience required
• Other Qualifications: Ability to work flexible schedules as needed
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients of all ages
• Manage acute and emergent conditions in a hospital -based emergency department
• Perform emergency procedures and coordinate admissions as required
• Collaborate with emergency department staff and consulting services
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the facility EMR
