PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) preferred; will consider BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with EM experience (AAPS/ABPS not accepted)
Licenses: Active, unrestricted Florida Medical License; Active DEA with Florida address
DEA / CDS: Active DEA required (Florida address)
Certifications: ATLS (unless ABEM certified), ACLS, PALS
Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine preferred; FM/IM with EM experience accepted
Other Qualifications: Flu vaccination within last 12 months, TB screening within last 12 months, COVID documentation, Case logs and CME documentation from past 2 years, Malpractice coverage $1M/$3M

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED
Perform all DOP-listed procedures including intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, and conscious sedation
Work 12-hour shifts as per the coverage model (Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5)
Collaborate with nursing, support staff, and specialty backup to ensure timely patient care
Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the Cerner EMR system
