Emergency Respite Live-In

🚨 Emergency Respite Caregiver Needed – Experienced with Hospice Patients (Waynesboro, VA)

We are urgently seeking a compassionate, highly experienced respite caregiver to provide companion care only as temporary relief for a primary caregiver of a hospice patient in Waynesboro, Virginia.

📍 Location:

Waynesboro, VA

 Type:

• Emergency/Respite Fill-In

• Start: Immediate need

• Contract duration: 24 hours up to 3 months, depending on need and availability

 Responsibilities (Not limited to)

• Provide non-medical companion care and emotional support

• Supervise for safety and comfort

• Offer conversation, comfort, and presence

• Assist with light tasks as needed (e.g., snacks, tidying up around the patient)
• Assisting with bathing, toileting, ADL's  

✅ Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of LIVE-IN experience, including with hospice or end-of-life care

• Emotionally mature and compassionate

• Reliable and professional

• Non-smoker

• Valid references required
• Valid Drivers License 

➕ Preferred:

• CNA or PCA certification (not required, but helpful)

• CPR/First Aid certified

• Familiarity with hospice environments
