Loup Basin Public Health Department is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to serve as our Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) and Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Unit Coordinator. This full-time role is key to ensuring our community is prepared for, protected from, and able to recover from public health emergencies.

🔹 Job Summary:

The Emergency Response Coordinator is responsible for leading all emergency preparedness activities in alignment with the department’s emergency response plan. This includes collaborating with local partners, overseeing emergency training and exercises, and coordinating the agency's response during public health emergencies.

Additionally, the individual will serve as the MRC Unit Coordinator, managing a volunteer network dedicated to enhancing community health and emergency response, and will also serve as a CPR Instructor, offering certification and renewal classes across our nine-county service area.

🔹 Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.


• Background in public health, emergency management, civil defense, or related field desirable.


• Experience in volunteer coordination or community engagement is a plus.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Must be able to respond to emergencies 24/7 and travel within our service area.

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  


• Must maintain confidentiality in accordance with agency policy.


• CPR Instructor certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
