Emergency Department Nurse Manager - Level I Trauma Center

We're seeking an experienced, passionate nursing leader to oversee our busy Emergency Department, managing a team of 45+ healthcare professionals while ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence.

Position Overview

As ED Nurse Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency care while driving clinical excellence and departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of a fast-paced Emergency Department, overseeing 64 FTEs
• Implement and maintain evidence-based clinical practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes
• Lead recruitment, hiring, training, and development of nursing staff
• Drive continuous improvement in patient care metrics and staff performance
• Manage department budget and resource allocation
• Foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain department accreditation standards
• Handle conflict resolution and complaint management with professionalism

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department clinical experience
• 1-3 years proven clinical leadership experience
• BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN)
• Prior experience in Level I Trauma Center
