Emergency Services Supervisor

General Responsibilities 

1. Supervise Emergency Services, including HOME Tenant Based Rental Assistance, Shelter Diversion, and Rapid Rehousing/Homeless Prevention staff.
2. Manage day-to-day operations of Emergency Services and related programming.
3. Provide consultation, training, and education services to clients, families, parishes, and community groups.
4. Compile statistical reports and manage program data.
5. Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
6. Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing needs.
7. Train and manage volunteers and interns for Emergency Services.
8. Assess client eligibility for various assistance programs.
9. Collaborate with other agencies and community groups to deliver services.
10. Participate in program development, evaluation, and community meetings.
11. Actively support supervised employees in achieving goals related to job performance, professional growth, and development, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
12. Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.

1. Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field with 3 years of related experience; or Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required.
3. Experience working with homeless and low-income individuals.
4. Availability to work flexible hours.
5. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, family systems, and social backgrounds.
6. Understanding of program operational boundaries.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Passage of background clearance, TB test, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of liability insurance.
10. Adhere to the Agency’s Code of Ethics and conduct all responsibilities in accordance with the standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
