Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT)/ Heavy Truck Mechanic

Super Vacuum Manufacturing Company is an established locally owned family business that manufactures fire equipment and emergency vehicles that help our communities to save lives.  We are looking for an energetic, self-starting Emergency Vehicle Technician for our Truck Refurbishing division. Essential Skills:

• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems, water pumps & valves, transfer cases, suspension components, air brake systems, differentials, motors, heating/air conditioning systems, instruments & gauges, and other fire truck systems or components
  


• Strong mechanical aptitude
  


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in a diesel or heavy equipment maintenance shop
  


• Must be able to lift 70+ pounds


• Must be able to climb ladders


• Willingness to learn 


• EVT experience and/or Heavy Truck certifications, ASE certifications preferred


• Will consider aircraft A&P or automotive experience with licenses/certs/military experience

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test, and background check

Hours: 7am-3:30pm M-F

Compensation: $17-$22 or DOE (depending on current level of certification and experience) 

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
