Lead Emergency/Urgent Care Veterinarian – Help Us Build Something Exceptional in Beautiful Mount Dora, FL!

Are you a passionate and experienced veterinarian with a strong interest in emergency or urgent care medicine? Do you want to play a pivotal role in expanding services and leading a new team? Lake Veterinary Clinic is excited to announce an expansion of our well-established daytime general practice, and we’re looking for a Lead Emergency/Urgent Care Veterinarian to take the reins.

About the Role:

This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership position where you’ll guide the development of our new after-hours care service. You'll be the primary veterinarian during these extended weekend hours:

🕔 Fridays at 5:00 PM through Mondays at 8:00 AM (ideally, but flexible!)

📆 After 8:00 AM Monday, our general practice team resumes normal daytime operations.

You’ll provide essential emergency and urgent care to patients when they need it most, all while working with a talented support team and helping shape the protocols and flow of this exciting new service.

What We’re Looking For:

• DVM Licensed (or eligible) in Florida.

• Experience or strong interest in emergency/urgent care.

• Skilled in urgent care / ER cases and surgery.

• A natural leader who thrives in a collaborative environment.

• Confident, compassionate, and ready to help build something new.

Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university

Current DEA License or obtained upon hire

Active Veterinary State License 

USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
