Emergency Veterinary Technician in Clearwater, FL

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our team in Clearwater, FL. As a family-owned veterinary hospital, we offer advanced and specialized veterinary services to our clients and referring veterinarians. Our team of veterinary professionals provide compassionate care and exceptional customer service to our patients and clients alike. The Emergency Vet Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to pets in emergency situations. With the support of our experienced team, you will have the opportunity to utilize and expand your skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. We currently have day, swing and overnight positions available.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with emergency triage and stabilize critically ill or injured animals
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as blood work, radiographs, and ultrasounds
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
• Provide post-operative care and monitoring to surgical patients
• Communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners, providing updates on patient status and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferred
• Previous experience in specialty and/or emergency veterinary medicine, preferred
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medical protocols and procedures
• Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Flexibility with working schedule, including availability for on-call, weekend shifts and holidays.
