Job Description - EMG Physician Integration Specialist - Full-Time

Job Summary:The EMG Physician Integration Specialist serves as a communication and service support role among EMG physicians within the market area. The primary role of the Physician Integration Specialist is to develop and maintain strong relationships within EMG physicians and to build loyalty, drive physician engagement and strengthen relationships.

The point is to support the development of the group practice structure and culture.

The relationship development function will focus on problem solving and enhancing relationships, managing service needs and collaborating with key clinical areas to ensure that all EMG physicians are informed about the EMG service offerings. The EMG Physician Integration Specialist will use key strategies, techniques and tools to engage and communicate to their assigned physician group, and provide assistance through Business Development in community and physician-to-physician introductions. The EMG Physician Integration Specialist is a key resource for acquiring information and creating strong, mutually beneficial relationships with physicians and their offices.

The goal is for EMG providers to choose Erlanger Medical Group whenever they have the need to refer a patient for advanced care. Our team goal is to have Erlanger Medical Group be the choice for EMG provider referrals by building relationships with providers and their staff, and more importantly fostering internal -relationships with EMG Physicians. An additional key to success for our team is ensuring convenient access to EMG physician practices and hospital services. This is intended to create strong network integrity for EMG and Erlanger Health.

The EMG Physician Integration Specialist works closely with the Erlanger Medical Group leadership team and Business Development in the support, promotion, and sustainability of Erlanger Medical Group Strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for effectively serving the needs of the medical professionals and patients they serve. The Integration Specialist leads network integrity through provider onboarding, education, communication of services and office orientations through on-site meetings and a variety of communication activities.

The EMG Physician Integration Specialist is responsible for coordinating relevant outreach plans and efforts to market clinical services with Erlanger Business Development to providers within the community, with the goal of growing and developing referrals to Erlanger Medical Group. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent should expect to travel locally several days a week, The Integration Specialist arranges and facilitates introductions and meetings between new and existing physicians to initiate dialogue, reinforce clinical expertise and promote discussion on clinical and operational best practices.

The EMG Physician Integration Specialist will set up meetings/events that include driving EMG providers to participate in these activities. The Physician Integration Specialist will also attend internal meetings to onboard and orient new providers and/or learn about strategic initiatives, in coordination with Erlanger Business Development.

The EMG Physician Integration Specialist will also be responsible for marketing promotions/announcements, celebrations (Doctor's Day, APP Day, etc.) and serve as a liaison point person for all network issues and assists the recruiting department with credentialing and re-appointment processes.

Education:Required:Bachelor's degree (in business, health care administration), or related field required.

Preferred:Master's degree in health/hospital administration, business administration, or related field preferred.

Experience:Required:Minimum of 5 or more years in a healthcare or hospital business development position

Leadership experience

Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, both acute and ambulatory

Experience in analytics, physician relations, and service excellence

Strong communication skills and multi-project coordination

Demonstrated ability in leading or facilitating teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred:Possess a strong customer centered, Service Excellence, focus, and attitude.

Effectively communicate with a wide variety of personalities at various leadership levels within the organization.Function independently and effectively in a dynamic environment, setting timelines and meeting deadlines.

Facilitation and project management skills.

Problem solving and multi-tasking capabilities.

Strong oral and written communication expression

Understand complex situations and maneuver within the `matrixed organization'.

Effective, appropriate use of influence and persuasion

Confidence in asking customers for their business -`closing the sell'.

Department Position Summary:The EMG Physician Integration Specialist is responsible to help achieve the business growth initiatives of EMG through the direct promotion and advancement of EMG employed physicians and EMG service lines and services within the EMG network. The employee will work closely with EMG leadership, service line directors and Business Development to identify and help develop initiatives that result in increased targeted market share and enhanced quality and resource utilization (value creation).

Core responsibilities:Review and analyze internal and external market data, responding with an action plan to address opportunities.

Maintain strong local presence via travel in the local market for the maintenance and growth of market share.

Provider onboarding (bio cards, announcements, meet/greet events, etc.)

Work with Marketing to coordinate (X) day celebrations for Erlanger Medical Group
