Location: Strasburg Facility (10190 OH-21 Strasburg)

Department: Corporate Care

Reports to: Manager of Employee Ambassadors

 

Position Summary

The Employee Ambassador is a warm, approachable, caring professional who demonstrates a genuine interest in others' well-being. As a member of ProVia’s Corporate Care team, the Employee Ambassador builds meaningful relationships with employees and supports their emotional and spiritual well-being while modeling and preserving ProVia’s culture.

This position works collaboratively with Employee Experience Specialists and other members of the Corporate Care team to support employees and facilitate Corporate Care programs and initiatives. The Employee Ambassador is expected to consistently represent and uphold ProVia’s Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values while treating every employee with dignity, compassion, professionalism, and respect.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Employee Care & Relationship Building


  • Model, promote, and help preserve ProVia’s culture.

  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with employees throughout the organization.

  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of assigned facilities to connect with employees and remain engaged with their needs.

  • Provide a safe, caring, and confidential environment for employees who wish to discuss personal, emotional, or spiritual concerns.

  • Listen effectively, provide appropriate support, and help employees identify appropriate next steps and available resources.

  • Communicate with the Manager of Employee Ambassadors or Supervisor when guidance or additional resources are needed.

  • Provide prayer or spiritual encouragement when requested and appropriate.

  • Visit employees and immediate family members in hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes/calling hours, and family homes when appropriate.

  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while providing compassionate employee care.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and follow established reporting and escalation procedures.

  • Participate in new employee orientation

  • Attend assigned production supervisor meetings.

  • Participate in employee exit interviews as requested.

  • Review and communicate the ProVia RoadMap as part of the interview process.

  • Facilitate small groups and Corporate Care personal-development initiatives.

  • Provide prayer or inspirational remarks at company meetings and events when requested.


Corporate Care Programs & Activities


  • Collaborate with Employee Experience Specialists and the Corporate Care team to promote and facilitate Corporate Care initiatives.

  • Assist with company-wide events and employee activities.

  • Support employee fundraisers and other care initiatives.

  • Distribute employee appreciation and recognition gifts.

  • Coordinate and distribute approved department meal requests.

  • Complete required documentation of employee one-on-one interactions in accordance with established procedures.


Professional Development & Team Responsibilities


  • Attend seminars, training sessions, and other professional-development opportunities.

  • Participate in Corporate Care team meetings and training.

  • Work cooperatively with other Employee Ambassadors, Employee Experience Specialists and Corporate Care team members.

  • Travel periodically to other ProVia locations, including Booneville, as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • The ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and leaders at all levels of the organization.

  • The ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural, personal, and religious backgrounds.

  • Strong practical and creative problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to facilitate one-on-one conversations and small-group discussions.

  • The ability to remain calm, flexible, and effective as priorities and employee needs change.

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of the Corporate Care team.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company systems and technology.

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between ProVia facilities as needed.


Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, counseling, human services, ministry, or a related field preferred; or

  • Three to five years of relevant experience in employee care, ministry, counseling support, coaching, mentoring, human services, employee relations, or a related field.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.


Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including regular walking throughout manufacturing and office facilities. The Employee Ambassador must be able to use a desktop computer, laptop, and standard office equipment.

Depending on the facility or work area, the Employee Ambassador may occasionally need to use personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
