Job Description
Under general supervision, plans, develops and delivers educational programs designed for development of university staff and consistent with the areas strategic goals, Office of Human Resources and institutional objectives. Identifies and integrates new/existing technological, social learning and learning resources to further ASUs vision and to build the staffs skills and knowledge.
ASU offers flexible work options to meet the needs of the position.
Salary Range
$43,259 - $55,000 per year, DOE

Essential Duties
Facilitates learning opportunities by designing and delivering quality curriculum for university staff for areas including new employee orientation, workshops on specific topics (for example: workplace communication) and leadership programs. Such programs are held in-person, hybrid, and online.
Coordinates online vendor resources for learning development for all staff - currently LinkedIn Learning, including curating playlists, marketing and increasing staff engagement.
Coordinates activities and functions of a designated program independently to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.
Provides relevant learning material both through in-person training facilitation and online to support individual and organizational growth and development.
Assists with marketing of development opportunities including the LMS staff learning platform and other resources both in-person and online.
Identifies emerging trends and development opportunities to address gaps for workforce upskilling.
Consults with The Office of Human Resources (OHR) staff, leaders and others to provide technical learning advice and develop effective training and program as needed.
Prepares and conducts ongoing evaluation of both the in-person opportunities, hybrid, virtual and the LMS to measure their effectiveness and reach.
Makes recommendations and participates in discussions with teams and leaders to direct and guide related learning/development initiatives.
Performs special assignments and projects as directed by OHR Leadership
If requested, participates in select department, campus and university committees, programs and initiatives representing OHR interests.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in liberal arts or related degree with three (3) years prior training or facilitation experience which includes use of virtual and hybrid environments, OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and techniques of adult learning and instructional design for program development
Experience in written and oral communication skills
Experience in presenting in front of large groups in-person or virtually
Familiarity with employee experience including onboarding, orientation, engagement strategies and recognition etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of learning using virtual media.
Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of curriculum development and instructional design
Experience with assessment tools such as DISC, 360 evaluations and debriefing results.
Skill in effectively identifying issues and solutions to ensure timely resolution.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, co-workers and other interested constituencies both internal and external to the university.
Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to frequent interruptions, changing priorities, and potentially conflicting deadlines.
Modern digital literacy with the ability to adapt and learn new applications such as Cornerstone On Demand, LinkedIn Learning, Canvas, Articulate 360 etc.
Ability to contribute to solutions and processes to meet customer needs.
Ability to identify unique and innovative approaches for learning and development.
Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
