Employee Engagement and Volunteerism, Vice President

Corporate Responsibility at JPMorganChase focuses on creating long-term, positive impact for communities and stakeholders by leveraging the firm’s resources, expertise, and people. Within Corporate Responsibility, Global Philanthropy (GP) advances this work through three functions: the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, Impact Finance and Advisory, and Employee Engagement and Volunteerism (EEV). EEV drives impact through a global portfolio of programs that engage employees in skills-based volunteering, including board service, small business and youth mentoring, and nonprofit consulting, and manages disaster relief and workplace giving.

As an Employee Engagement and Volunteerism, Vice President within the US EEV team, you will be responsible for developing strategies and implementing employee engagement programs. These programs will align with the firm's talent and culture priorities as well as the corporate responsibility impact agenda. You will be reporting directly to the U.S. Head for EEV.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the International and US development of skills-based volunteering strategies and programs that meet market-specific needs/deliver on CR’s impact and advance talent and culture priorities for lines of business 
• Independently design, monitor, and execute a suite of U.S. based capacity-building programs, including nonprofit Board service and probono volunteering programs, while drawing out best practices and constantly improving processes and implementation tactics across multiple stakeholders
• Work closely with colleagues and peers across CR and the firm to ensure a holistic and integrated approach that expands the firm’s potential to advance an inclusive economy in priority markets
• Take ownership for programs by building detailed project and process plans, monitoring progress, and independently driving results across internal and external stakeholder groups
• Cultivate and proactively build strong relationships and regular communication with business leadership to understand business priorities, opportunities, and trends that will influence EEV capacity-building products 
• Design with value and impact to both external and internal stakeholders in mind, utilizing participation and impact data feedback and insights from stakeholders to refine and improve strategy
• Develop a deep understanding of the firm and key stakeholders and translate this knowledge into project/program tasks, including the development of polished, bespoke, persuasive, and technically sound materials regarding EEV programs
• Lead and/or contribute to program reviews, using data and insights to drive program redesign
• Source, onboard and manage implementation partners, including grant contracting and management
• Collaborate with Communications partners to amplify program impact with internal and external stakeholders
• Proactively build relationships with firm-wide partners to align strategy and execution, including HR, Tech for Social Good, Legal Pro Bono, and Controls.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 7+ years of relevant experience in employee engagement, volunteerism, philanthropy, and/or social impact
• Commercial and process-oriented mindset with strong project/program management and interpersonal skills
• Relevant experience in employee engagement, volunteerism, philanthropy, and/or social impact
• Experience working with nonprofits, and demonstrated understanding of organizational development needs and opportunities in the sector
• Strong analytical skills, and experience working with quantitative and qualitative data
• Excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to distill and present complex information plainly and succinctly
• Proven ability to synthesize and communicate findings from data in clear terms to promote understanding, action planning and decision-making
• Demonstrates a high degree of initiative; results-oriented, strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Creative, flexible, and collaborative, with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment and create a “most viable product” despite uncertainties 
• Ability to provide constructive and timely feedback to delivery partners and troubleshoot when challenges arise
• Experience working within a global team, including working across different geographic contexts

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience managing end to end nonprofit board service programming with key business leaders
