Employee Relations Specialist

PrimeCare Medical, Inc., a comprehensive health care service company providing care to county jails, prisons, and juvenile detention centers throughout the Northeastern United States, is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of two years’ experience investigating and resolving employee concerns. 

Job Duties

· Provide support to employees on various human resource related topics such as interpersonal interactions and policy applications. 

· Work with employees, managers, and senior staff to resolve any issues that arise.

· Promote human resource programs and policies to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace while providing guidance and training to managers to ensure compliance with company policy and legal requirements.

· Perform investigations on a variety of employment matters and determine outcomes.

· Determine appropriate corrective action for policy violations and provide guidance to managers on the implementation thereof.

· Provide detailed reporting and feedback to senior management on a variety of human resource topics.

This role operates in a fast-paced and collaborative environment where the ideal candidate will be able to work independently and manage their own workload. The successful applicant will be detail oriented and possess exceptional writing and communication skills. Independent judgment and decision-making are essential.

Required Background

· A bachelor’s degree plus 2-4 years working in human resources is preferred. Demonstrated human resources experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

· Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with Paylocity is a plus but not required.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professional and courteous relationships with others is required.
