Job Description - Employee Relations Specialist

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Responsible for providing system-wide HR professionals with advice on employee relations, personnel policies, and employment laws, while also preparing responses to complaints, conducting investigations, and delivering training on employee relations and labor issues, including triaging reports for policy violations.
Utilize sound judgment to review concerns from the Know the Line reporting system, assign them to appropriate departments, update case management systems, and analyze trends.
Handle a caseload of investigations under the Director's guidance, collaborating with team members, HR clients, leadership, legal counsel, and security.
Provide system-wide advice on personnel policies, labor laws, and contracts to HR professionals, supporting the HR Business Partner model.
Assist HR professionals, managers, and executives in addressing employee relations issues such as workplace violence, substance abuse, and reductions in force, while also supporting responses to complaints filed with external agencies like the MCAD and EEOC.

Here’s what you’ll have:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 years of employee and labor relations experience (handling cases/ investigations)
Experience handling investigations within healthcare
Knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws
Prepared responses to complaints filed with the MCAD, EEOC or other agencies
