What You'll Do 


 


At Mid American Credit Union the Employer Partnerships Representative develops and enhances the credit union's relationships with existing and potential employer partners. Coordinate on-site events with our employer partners and manage new member accounts which are generated at the events. 



Major Duties and Responsibilities



  • Recruit and maintain relationships with employer partners for the purpose of providing their employees access to credit union benefits. Contact potential partners through mailings, telephone calls, and by in-person visits.

  • Manage opening of accounts generated at on-site events. Coordinate with Member Services department to ensure accounts are opened in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate account information to employer partners as necessary

  • Maintain database for tracking details of accounts opened at on-site events.

  • Participate in community networking activities to promote the credit union.

  • Actively monitor new employer opportunities in credit union's field of membership. Provide timely updates of trends to VP of Marketing and Advocacy and branch managers as necessary.

  • Develop and participate in on-site events at employer partners.

      What You Need to Get the Job Done 




        • Education - High School Diploma or GED required

        • Experience  - Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Need to have proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Outlook software (Outlook, Word and Excel).

        •  Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

        • Ability to multi task while maintaining a high level of efficiency.  

        • Customer service experience including the ability to effectively perform the skills necessary to deliver exceptional service, such as communication, empathy, patience and organization.

        • Must be team oriented and possess a positive attitude while working well with others.
