Note: Candidates must be active members in good standing with the State Bar of California and have 2+ years of litigation experience. California employment litigation experience is highly preferred.

Job Description

• Handle employment litigation matters through various stages of the litigation lifecycle
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Manage written discovery and assist with complex discovery strategy
• Take and defend depositions as experience progresses
• Assist with single-plaintiff employment claims and complex employment litigation
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategy
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court proceedings
• Help prepare matters for dispositive motions, settlement, arbitration, and trial
• Communicate directly with clients and develop strong client-service skills
• Take on increasing case ownership and responsibility as your experience grows

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• 2+ years of litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, and litigation case management
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple active matters
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• California labor and employment litigation experience preferred
• Employer-side employment litigation experience preferred

• $165,000 to $190,000 for 2 to 3 years; 
• $190,000 to $225,000 for 4 to 5 years; 
• $225,000 to $270,000 for 6+ years
