What You'll Do:
Establish trusting, collaborative relationships with clients to support job retention and success.
Provide personalized job coaching, facilitating effective communication between clients, employers, and coworkers.
Support clients in using various transportation methods to and from their workplaces.
Assess client skills and proficiency in job tasks, offering targeted coaching and strategies to achieve job stabilization and independence.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including job coaching reports and monthly employer timesheets.
Respect and uphold client confidentiality preferences, particularly regarding the disclosure of personal or disability-related information.
Collaborate regularly with support teams, family members, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive employment support.
Encourage clients to consider long-term employment goals, strengths, cultural perspectives, and vocational aspirations.
Facilitate access to educational resources and further vocational training opportunities for interested clients.
Work Location & Schedule:
Locations will vary based on client employment sites
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel as needed
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
Strong verbal, written communication, basic math, and computer skills
Physical ability to lift 20 lbs, stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit for prolonged periods, and handle equipment as needed
Demonstrated flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals
Interest and willingness to learn more about supporting adults with developmental disabilities
