The EMR Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinates system upgrades to physician practice management and electronical medical records systems.
Provides ongoing support and maintenance of the EMR and PM system, ensuring optimal functionality.
Trains medical staff and administrators in the proper use of the EMR system.
Generates reports and analyzes data to aid in decision-making and enhance patient care.
Assists in developing, maintaining, and testing disaster recovery plans.
Ensures that the EMR system complies with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and implements security measures to protect patient data.
Resolves technical issues and collaborates with vendors as required.
Recommends and develops, in conjunction with senior management, plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.
Performs other position related duties as assigned.
Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.

KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES
Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical workflows.
Experience with healthcare data analytics.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office software. Experience with EMR systems.
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Information Technology or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with EMR systems.
Management experience preferred.
