Job Description - Endoscopy Technician

Washington Outpatient Surgery Center, LLC (WOSC) is a free-standing multi-specialty center with five operating rooms and two procedure rooms, open Monday through Friday. Since opening our doors in 1986, we’ve been honored to care for our community by providing advanced surgical services in a setting that’s welcoming, comfortable, and focused on what matters most, our patients.

Job Responsibilities




  • Assist surgeons in multidisciplinary procedures

  • Assemble supplies and equipment for scheduled GI procedures

  • Aid in room turnovers, patient positioning, and preparing for following day cases

  • Inspect equipment and instruments for proper working condition

  • Maintain availability of instruments and supplies to avoid delays

  • Correctly use, care for, and sterilize instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed

  • Extensive ability to troubleshoot equipment issues related to applicable procedures

  • Assist in storing and stocking supplies in the procedure rooms



Required Education




  • High school diploma or GED Certification

  • Endoscopy Certification SGNA recognized preferred



Qualifications and Skills




  • GI or ASC experience, 2 years preferred

  • Familiarity with procedural instruments and equipment

  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods; ability to lift 25-50 lbs.

  • Strong ethical and moral character references

  • Ability to communicate effectively and promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, and general public

  • Ability to be punctual, make decisions,  and solve problems

Schedule: M-F 8hr Variable Shifts
