  • Case Mix: Mechanical thrombectomy, ruptured/complex intracranial aneurysms, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage, AVMs, dAVFs, carotid/intracranial occlusive disease

  • Support Staff Available: 24/7 Advanced Practice Provider support
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

  • Credentialing Timeline: 30 -90 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
  • Endovascular aneurysm treatment
  • Diagnostic cerebral angiography
  • Open vascular neurosurgical procedures when appropriate
  • Management of ruptured and complex intracranial aneurysms
  • Treatment of cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVFs)
  • Peri -procedural inpatient management for cerebrovascular disease

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified
  • Licenses: Active License or Active Universal License (IMLC) LOQ
  • DEA: Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications: Covid and flu vaccine
  • Experience: Fellowship -trained Endovascular Neurosurgeon; must note overall years of experience and years of locum experience
  • Other Qualifications: Experience in using EMR & Epic; must provide 2 supervisor and 1 peer references from 12 months; Self -Query NPDB Report pulled within 30 days; must note where the provider will be travelling from
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated vascular neurosurgical call coverage (no spine, trauma, tumor, or general neurosurgery)
  • Perform emergency department and inpatient consultations for urgent and emergent cerebrovascular disease
  • Interpret advanced cerebrovascular imaging and perform diagnostic cerebral angiography when clinically indicated
  • Perform mechanical thrombectomy, endovascular aneurysm treatment, and other neuroendovascular procedures
  • Manage peri -procedural inpatient care exclusively for vascular neurosurgical patients
