Job Description - ENGAGE Service Coordinator

Description

We are seeking a motivated individual for a part-time ENGAGE Service Coordinator position with the potential to transition to a full-time position based on performance and business needs. This position will initially focus on getting the new hire trained and familiar with our school, as well as allowing the ENGAGE Service Coordinator to develop essential skills that will be valuable to transition to a full-time status. The ENGAGE Service Coordinator position is an in-office position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday, up to 20hrs/week. 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Spiritual Life Director as a team ensuring a successful ENGAGE program at VCS. 
  • Oversee the creation and maintaining of the ENGAGE program in the ServiceReef system.  
  • Become extremely versed in ServiceReef.
  • Be able to train chaperones, parents, and students on the ServiceReef platform.
  • Create and maintain the ENGAGE Guide. Edit and format content provided by ENGAGE Director.
  • Manage logistics for current/new ENGAGE trips (including ENGAGE AZ), including working closely with travel agencies.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for ENGAGE Director.
  • Exercise open and respectful communication with students, families, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Adheres to and honors Valley Christians foundational beliefs, standards, policies, procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Performs other related assigned duties.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is a consistent testimony among others
  • Agree to uphold Valley Christian’s Mission & Beliefs which can be found at http://valleychristianaz.org/about/philosophy/
  • Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose beliefs are in agreement with our school’s Mission & Beliefs.
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
  • Versed in MS Office Suite products
  • Must have and maintain a valid level one IVP fingerprint card
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to multitask with organization
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
  • Must be able to work during prolonged periods of standing and walking at events
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Must be able to travel in state between campuses, to vendors, and to related events
