Who We’re Looking For

Position Description: The Graveyard Engineer, under the direction of the Chief Engineer is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems for a luxury high-rise community in Century City.

Position Duties:

• The Graveyard Engineer is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems within a property
• Duties include but not limited to the maintenance, repair and operations of Lighting, Plumbing & HVACR equipment.
• Other systems include chilled water systems, boilers, Fire Life Safety devices and all MEP systems
• The Engineer must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned
• Responsible for & assist in implementation and completion of preventive maintenance and repairs
• Responds to tenant requests and work orders in a timely fashion
• Assists with the implementation and adherence to work and safety procedures
• Perform equipment inspections, repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance tasks
• Assist in the implementation of quality assurance, PM & emergency response programs
• Obtain quotes for approvals, order and manage parts, inventory, equipment
• Ensures that all shop equipment, tools and inventory are properly maintained and conform to safety standards.
• Promotes good housekeeping principles and supervises cleanup and organization efforts.
• Conduct Routine Generator, Fire Pump and other systems weekly tests, checks, logs and PM tasks.
• Coordinates work with team, other departments and Chief Engineer to ensure safety, regulatory compliance,
• operational reliability and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• HVAC & Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing experience
• Flexibility for On-Call, weekend, or overnight work as necessary
• Universal level refrigerant recovery license
• Strong computer skills and building automation systems experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• High rise building maintenance experience
• Strong employee relations, coaching and training skills
• Excellent customer service skills
