General Description

The Engineer works closely with product manufacturing facilities, customers, and Bando staff to carry out Engineering duties needed to support customer satisfaction. This position investigates and resolves customer product quality complaints. 

Essential Functions

1. Develops and executes customer training programs for Bando products. 

2. Trains customers and Bando customer service staff in person regarding Bando products and specifications. 

3. Inspects returned products, investigates product quality issues, and conducts related reporting and onsite visits. 

4. Supports outside sales during onsite customer visits and as needed with technical follow-up, product seminars, and new product presentations. 

5. Supports the Marketing team with product information.

6. Other duties as assigned by Asst. VP QC and Engineering.  

Requirements

Education Required

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

2. 5+ years of mechanical engineering and industrial parts application or related field experience strongly preferred. 

General Qualifications

1. Legally eligible to work in the United States.

2. Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and training.

Skills Required

1. Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills.

2. Must be highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.

3. Possess proven analytical problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company.

4. Highly skilled in technical engineering capacity. 

5. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.

6. Computer literacy and ability to effectively use MS office software.

1. The ability to use a phone, office equipment, computer, video conferencing technology, and other electronic business tools and related software.

2. Ability to concentrate, take initiative, cope with stress, adapt to and stay alert in a business environment, and use independent judgment to accomplish all duties and responsibilities.

3. Primarily in an office environment.
