The Engineer reports directly to the Chief Engineer and is responsible for the following:
Performing maintenance and repairs to facility
Execute preventative maintenance
Weather-proofing
Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance
Follow all safety and security policies and procedures
Welcome all guests accordingly, anticipate and address guest service needs
Must have valid driver’s license
Must be available for emergency calls at hotel during off duty hours
Must be organized with inventory and documentation
Perform other job duties as requested
Special Requirements
Prompt and regular attendance - the hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work, and overtime as required
Minimum availability of 16 hours per week for part-time employees
Comply with hotel and/or department uniform and professional behavior and appearance standards
Carry out all reasonable requests by team leaders and managers and act as a team player with all levels of staff
Review and approve electronic timecard weekly for accuracy

May be exposed to cleaning chemicals.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and experience in all facets of building maintenance
Understand and operate electrical, plumbing & refrigeration
Knowledge and experience in working with HVAC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent guest service skills
Must be organized and have good attention to details
Read and understand test equipment and measuring devices
