Engineer Assembly Process Quality & Soldering process

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer – Assembly Process Quality & Soldering process to join our Quality team on a full-time basis.

Major Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with IPC 610 - CIS / CIT and J standards to maintain high product quality, with a specific focus on soldering, assembly, and associated processes.
• Training and Development: Educating staff on quality standards and practices.
• Drive the team towards Yield improvement projects and Kaizen implementation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Integrated Quality Management Systems (IATF & ISO) and ensure readiness for customer and internal audits
• Lead quality initiatives within the respective production cells, validating quality objectives and monitoring results to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Lead timely investigation, escalation, and resolution of quality issues affecting production output
• Conduct periodic process and product audits to ensure quality standards are met and maintained across production.
• Maintain and promote 5S principles across the shop floor to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Coordinator for IPC operator and staff certification renewal and expiry, ensuring certifications are up to date and in compliance with industry standards.
• Actively work towards improving soldering and visual inspection yields to meet or exceed organization quality targets.
• Lead and collaborate with the Cross-Functional Team (CFT) to identify and address causes of internal rejections, with a focus on improving yield.
• Prepare regular reports and documentation for daily, weekly, monthly, and special occasions to track quality of performance by the operators and ensure process improvements.

• 7QC Tools
• Control plan
• PPAP
• Expertise in manual and hand soldering process.

Academic/Professional Education: B.E / B. Tech EEE / ECE with 8+ years of experience in In-process and Customer Quality from EMS industry

Relevant Experience: 8+ years of experience in Handling EMS Assembly QA & Customer complaints Analysis.

Technical Skills/Knowledge: SMT Process & Expert in Soldering
