Engineer (Hybrid) - Urgent Position

We are currently seeking a skilled Engineer to join our client's team, a leading electric utility company. As an Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in processing Distribution Interconnection applications and managing various technical aspects related to small generator interconnections. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Processing Distribution Interconnection applications, handling daily inquiries, status updates, portal issues, and application deficiencies.
• Technical screening of Applications of 0 to 10 MW, primarily focusing on solar projects, in accordance with the Small Generator Interconnection Procedure (SGIP).
• Leading crucial monthly reporting activities, including metrics reporting and reporting to regulatory bodies.
• Managing project field meetings with interconnection customers and conducting on-site witness testing as per the SGIP tariff.
• Responding to customer inquiries regarding the SGIP process and other distribution interconnection applications.
• Operational oversight of parallel resources interconnected to the distribution system.
• Participation in monthly technical and policy-related interconnection forums.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership qualities, strong technical background, and excellent customer service skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably Electrical Engineering, with 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in an electric utility power engineering role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the electric utility industry in a transmission or distribution role.
• Understanding of the Small Generator Interconnection Procedure (SGIP) Tariff.
• Experience in handling Renewable Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and Non-Renewable Interconnections.
