Summary:
The primary function of the Engineer II position will consist of maintaining all HVAC equipment on campus and confirming all preventive maintenance is scheduled and completed in a timely manner. Respond, update and close calls through our work order system program. Daily monitoring of the energy plant along with ensuring all equipment is operable through the Energy Management System (EMS) program.Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot all air handlers and ice machines
Perform installation, preventive maintenance and repairs on all refrigeration, heating and ventilating equipment
Work with computer-based energy management systems program
Repairs or replaces electrical components such as wire, contactors, starters, relays, overload heaters, motors, and compressors
Installs piping and pumps related to the HVAC trade that transfer water, oil, refrigerant and chemicals for system water treatment
Analyzes gauge and meter readings relating to pneumatic air, water pressure, water chemical and solids content, refrigerant pressures, oil pressure and contaminant content
Assist in daily walks, start-up, shut down and operation of energy plant
Visually inspect gauges, dials and mechanical equipment, make basic mathematical calculations
Able to work operate I phone to receive work-orders through our work-order management system.
Basic understanding of energy control
Maintain a clean and safe work shop and stock room
Be able to request parts and supplies from different vendors
Assist with obtaining proposals from vendors
Ability to repair and replace kitchen refrigeration equipment
Minimum qualifications
High school Diploma or equivalent
EPA certified
2 year minimum as Engineer II or HVAC Technician
