Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and career-driven Civil or Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is actively pursuing their Professional Engineer (PE) license and looking to gain hands-on experience in both field and office environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, initiative, and a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced licensed engineers, gain mentorship, and participate in a wide range of engineering projects that contribute directly to your path toward PE licensure.

Responsibilities:

Support fieldwork including soil sampling, drilling, and site investigations
Assist in geotechnical analyses and engineering calculations under the guidance of senior engineers
Prepare technical reports with recommendations on foundations, slope stability, and soil improvements
Interpret geotechnical laboratory test results and assist with quality assurance
Aid in the development of design documents, specifications, and cost estimates
Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource management
Maintain communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables
Stay current with industry standards, codes, and technologies relevant to your discipline
Commit to progressing toward PE licensure through hands-on work and ongoing education

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geologic Engineering, with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
Strong desire and active intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in technical writing and documentation
Willingness to travel for site investigations and field assignments
Familiarity with geotechnical software is a plus
