Engineer Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Utilize best practice engineering methods to provide expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives.

•Direct, evaluate, and confirm product design for manufacturability and related changes.

•Utilize technical understanding of the products and how the interactions between workers affect the product.

•Develop relationships with shop-floor employees throughout the operation to ensure that the established product standards are maintained.

•Foster teamwork within the Manufacturing Engineering department and effectively bridge gaps between Product Design and Production.

•Foster teamwork with the Sales department and help understand the customers wants and specifications. Direct, evaluate and confirm specifications for manufacturability and facilitate any related changes.

•Provide insight into examining technology, resources at hand, and market demands in order to determine whether a proposed project is practical and achievable.

•Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the organization.

•Coordinate and direct project plans, making sure that the plans are followed-up in detail to accomplish the desired objectives.

•Assist in the recruiting of qualified employees to whom they can assign and designate tasks that contribute to prespecified improvement targets.

•Drive efficiencies thru process improvements.

•Maintaining compliance with quality standards and Federal regulations.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any other relative field

Physical Activity/Requirements:

•This position is can be very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing, and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or move items over 25 pounds.
