Energy Storage Engineer

Location: Juno Beach, Florida
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Overview of the Role
Employees in this role have the responsibility of planning, designing, and executing various energy storage projects. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, engineering oversight and consulting across cross functional teams to deliver a best-in-class product.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects
• Identify and resolve engineering inconsistencies, ensuring optimal design quality
• Prepare technical scopes of work for critical contracts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from project inception to completion
• Manage project milestones and proactively identify potential risks
• Partner with suppliers to integrate major equipment systems
• Navigate permitting requirements and propose innovative solutions
• Travel 25% for hands-on project support

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction
• Expertise in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design.
• Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters.
• Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections)
• Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730 Ability to handle specialized technical tasks independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
