Engineering Assistant

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Project Task from Program/Project Engineers


• Internal communications from Engineering team


• Understanding and carrying out all tasks given by the Engineer Team


• Collaborating with Engineering Team in New Product Development and sustaining Engineering activities


• Basic understanding B/P requirements


• Updating CAD drawings according to Engineering Team requirements


• Providing consistent and accurate data entry of items for MRP system (EPICOR)


• Creating and updating Engineering Documentation guidelines (MIB creation)


• Participating in various learning experiences, which may include attending workshops and training sessions

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated experience with personal computer (PC) software applications (ex: word processing, spreadsheet, data management, Adobe, etc.)


• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams in multiple divisions


• Ability to lead a project to produce successful outcomes


• Ability to interface with Customers (external and internal) in a manner consistent with MII’s goals


• Capacity to prioritize a list of responsibilities and projects which may often change to best meet the needs of Engineering requirements


• Ability to follow instructions and to collaborate with others


• Steadiness to work under pressure and within tight timelines

Education and Experience:

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent


• Some experience working with engineering related documentation, specifications, MRP systems, PLM tools, or documentation repositories, preferred, not required


• Practical experience using CAD software (SolidEdge), preferred, not required
